What to do with a plumbing pipe going straight through your bathroom?  Most times the solution would be to build a cabinet around it.  However, with the window right there, we were stuck with it.  So, I decided to make the best of it and turn it into a feature.  First thing was a paint job with a distressed finish.  See the close up below.  Then copper-coloured tin pails were hung on hooks – one for storage of toiletry items and 2 more for natural looking decor.  Finally, a hand towel over the rounded pipe to give it a real function as a towel bar!
